Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 22, 2026
DevToolkit ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. It applies to every page under devtoolkit.me.
Data processed by our tools
Every tool on DevToolkit runs entirely in your browser — JSON formatting, Base64 encoding, hash generation, regex testing, and the rest. The text you paste, upload or type into a tool is never transmitted to our servers and is never stored. When you close or refresh the page it is gone.
A small number of tools (LLM token counter, SSE stream replayer) call our backend for computation only. These requests are not logged, not stored and not used for model training.
What we do collect
Standard server logs — IP address, user agent and request path — kept for up to 14 days for abuse prevention.
Anonymous analytics events via Google Analytics 4 (page views, device type, approximate country).
Preference cookies — your chosen theme, language, favorites and recent tools — stored in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device.
Cookies and similar technologies
First-party localStorage remembers your theme and favorites.
Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to identify returning visitors anonymously.
Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies such as IDE, DSID and __gads to serve contextual or personalized advertising.
You can accept, reject or customize these categories via the consent banner shown on your first visit.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns. IP addresses are anonymized by Google. You can opt out site-wide via the consent banner, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense and third-party advertisers
Advertising on this site is served by Google AdSense and its advertising partners. These third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising at https://adssettings.google.com. You may also opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies at https://www.aboutads.info.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are in the EEA, UK or California you have the right to access, correct, delete or port the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time.
Because we do not maintain user accounts, most data is tied to your browser storage, which you can clear yourself. For server-log deletion requests, email us.
Children's privacy
DevToolkit is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as features evolve or as regulations change. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
